Reusable cold/hot pack stays flexible when cold. Can be chilled in the freezer to be used as a cold pack or heated in the microwave to be used as a hot pack.

Sizes available:

  • Standard: 24cm x 14cm

Cold Application:

 

1.     Place pack flat in freezer & chill for at least 2 hours prior to use

2.    Wrap the cold pack in a towel prior to use to protect the skin against the cold.

Do not put the cold pack directly on the skin.

3.    Let cold pack stand for several minutes before application.

4.    Leave cold pack on for maximum 15 minutes. Repeat every 1 to 1.5 hours, or as instructed by a practitioner.

5.    Consult your practitioner if extended use is required.

6.    Store the cold pack in the freezer- when not in use.

 

 

Heat Application:

 

Microwave Method 1.

 

1.     Immerse pack in a microwave container with warm/ hot water & place in microwave

2.    Heat for 1 minute. Reheat at 10 second intervals (Microwave ovens vary so less or more time may be required to heat to desired temperature).

3.    After heating, remove the pack and let it stand for 30 seconds. Wrap the pack in a towel and apply.

 

OR

Microwave Method 2.

 

1.     Wrap gel pack in wet paper towel and heat for 30 seconds, test temperature, re-heat in 10 second intervals until warm. Wrap the pack in a towel and apply.

 

Caution/ Warning:

·      Do not heat pack directly after freezing. Pack should be at room temperature prior to heating

·      Do not apply directly to skin

·      Always test pack to ensure safe temperature before applying.

·      Always insert the pack in a towel prior to use.

·      Use only as directed. Do not sit, sleep, or lean on the packs as to apply added pressure.

·       Do not use if you have circulatory problems except under direct supervision of a physician.Always consult a medical professional for advice about treatment of injuries or irritation.

·      If discomfort or pain results, persists or increases, discontinue and consult a physician.

·      Keep out of reach of children.
