NOTE! All the Proxi® Thumbs are getting an update where the matte TPU-surface is replaced with a midnight blue OP loop fabric (see picture 1). The thermoplastic designs stay the same. This will make it possible to attach hook on to the complete surface and make it more resistant for wear and tear. NRX® Strap can also be attached on to the surface for additional support.

The Mediroyal Proxi® Plus thumb offers a unique combination of an individually made thermoplastic splint and a soft textile brace. It’s made in the popular Neptune™ material that is breathable, hydrodynamic and quick drying. The 1,6 mm Immo Plus® thermoplastic has been laminated under the surface film and has been pre-molded to stabilize the CMC- and MCP joint of the thumb. The thermoplastic part provides excellent support and a low profile and can be adjusted individually without using water or a heat gun. Simply fold the thumb in order to make the fit tighter or open it up to make the size bigger. It’s as simple as it sounds.

The new Proxi® Plus offers excellent stability in combination with high comfort and functionality. The design doesn’t need any edging tape which makes it possible to adjust the shape by a pair of scissors. Avoid cutting exactly over the area where the thermoplastic piece has been integrated and over the hook closures. All other areas can be trimmed without restrictions. The 1,6 mm Immo Plus® thermoplastic as well as the reinforcement film will shape individually to the patient over time by the body temperature.
