Readings from your pulse oximeter can be used by health practitioners to help manage the care of a COVID-19 positive person from their home. They will detect hypoxia, defined as abnormally low levels of oxygen in the body. They can assist with:

• Detection of “silent hypoxia”, in the absence of shortness of breath and
accompanying danger signs
• Monitoring and early identification of deterioration of clinical condition
